A Personal Message from Roger - June 27, 2007

I would first like to thank "Marlene" for creating www.brokenwheelranch.com, and keeping the memories of the "Fury Show" and others like it alive. And thank YOU for dropping in and visiting. There are several biographies of me out there and none of them are completely accurate so I will try & set the record straight.
After graduating from high school in Whittier, CA. I surfed and chased girls for a year until Uncle Sam got hold of me. I spent 2 years 7 months and 12 days in the Army. I went to jump-school at Ft. Benning and Special Forces Training at Ft. Bragg, NC. I spent a year w/ the 46th Special Forces Company in southeast Asia before coming home in 1970.

My wife Sharie, and I moved to Texas and during the past 38 years I've spent time as a longshoreman, a pipefitter, a welder, a bull-rider, a cop in Beaumont, Vidor and Jasper, a lumberjack, a milkman, a FedEx truck driver, a prison guard (that really sucked), a Lifeguard, a football/basketball coach at a private school in Beaumont, a boiler-tender, and I've even served as a pastor for a few small country churches that couldn't afford a "real" one.

Right now I am an inspector for a company that puts up Wind Turbines all over the country. And, when I get tired of this I will go & do something else.
For fun I ride my mustang that I adopted from the govt. I also enjoy hunting & selling live rattlesnakes. I also play drums in an Irish Folk/Rock band "the Axe Wounds" of Abilene, TX. and in the Sweetwater, TX. Municipal "Swing Band".
I tell ya' folks, God is good has really blessed me.

My wife is still purty and our kids are all smart. And the 6 grandkids? Hey don't get me started!!
